Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This policy explains what personal information Trusted Windows collects when you use our website and enquiry form, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Trusted Windows (“we”, “us”) operates this website as a quote-matching and information service for homeowners looking for vetted window installers. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide through this site. If you have any questions about this policy, please use the contact details in the Contact us section below.
What we collect
When you complete our enquiry form we ask for the details needed to match you with a suitable installer and to get in touch about your enquiry:
- Your name — first and last name.
- Your email address.
- Your phone number.
- Your postcode — so we can match you with an installer covering your area.
- Whether you own your home — to help the installer understand your enquiry.
We also automatically collect marketing attribution data so we can understand how our service is found and improve it. This includes the campaign source and other UTM values in the web address you arrived on, advertising click identifiers (for example a Google or Meta click ID), the page you first landed on, your browser’s user-agent string, and your IP address.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Match your enquiry with a vetted installer who covers your area;
- Contact you by phone about the application you made — our contact is directly related to your enquiry for window quotes, and is not unrelated marketing;
- Respond to any questions you send us and keep a record of your enquiry;
- Measure and improve our advertising and website.
There is no consent tickbox on our form by design. When you submit the form you agree that we may contact you in accordance with this policy; the notice beside the submit button makes this clear.
Sharing your information with a matched installer
Trusted Windows does not carry out installations. To provide the service you asked for, we may pass your qualified enquiry to a matched installer so that they can contact you, discuss your requirements and provide a quote. We share only the details needed for that purpose, and only with an installer relevant to your enquiry. That installer is responsible for how it handles your information once it receives it, in line with its own privacy policy.
Lawful basis
We rely on our legitimate interests (and yours) in connecting homeowners with suitable installers and in responding to the enquiry you actively submitted. Where we use advertising and analytics cookies, we rely on your consent, which you can manage as described in our cookie policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and normally for no longer than 24 months after your last contact with us, unless a longer period is required by law. Marketing attribution stored in cookies expires after 90 days. After the retention period we securely delete or anonymise your information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Keeping your data safe
Your form submission is sent securely over an encrypted connection. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Contact us
